Thai PM visits Bahrain

BANGKOK, May 13 (TNA) - Prime Minister Yingkuck Shinawatra left Bangkok on Sunday for a three-day official visit to Bahrain. The visit aims at strengthening ties and joint investment between the partner countries, and will highlight the possibility of exporting Thai Halal food to Bahrain. According to Miss Yingluck, her delegation includes more than 50 Thai businessmen. Forming the agenda of talks with the Bahraini prime minister will include Bahrain’s food demand. Both sides are also to discuss on cultural exchange, as well as on a new tourism cooperation agreement. Miss Yingluck says Bahrain plans on building a new airport, and that it will be a good opportunity for Thailand to co-invest and supply Thai constructors to work on the project. During her visit, the Thai Premier will also have an audience with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who earlier visited Thailand along with the Bahraini Prime Minister. (TNA)
