CHIANG MAI, THAILAND, February 14 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Thursday visited the royal project in the northern resort Chiang Mai Province, her hometown, as part of her ongoing trip to the Thai North. At the royal project, Yingluck met Chairman of the Royal Project Foundation M.C. Bhisadej Rajani, who received her with a red rose, also symbolizing St. Valentine's Day on February 14, when people extend love and goodwill to each other. The prime minister also visited an exhibition showcasing farm produce of the royal project, initiated by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The prime minister then held a meeting with committees supporting the royal project, during which she promised that the government will keep supporting the royal project on a sustainable basis to creat jobs and income to people; while conserving the environment and reducing the gap between the advantaged and the disadvantaged in the society.
