Thai police closer to solving Thai disco blaze death

BANGKOK, August 19 (TNA) – Police say they will divulge more details of Friday’s blaze at Tiger Discotheque in the Thai holidaying island of Phuket, where four people were killed and up to 11 others were wounded. Assistant National Police Chief Pol. Lt. Gen. Charamporn Suramanee says an autopsy report on the victims should be released on Sunday by the Police Hospital’s Forensic Medicine Institute. Meanwhile, Police in Phuket’s Kathu district have been ordered to establish contact with relatives of the dead for items which could provide DNA samples for their identification. Police are also gathering information from related agencies on Phuket Island so that charges could be pressed upon those responsible for the blaze. It is expected that formal charges would be imposed later this week. (TNA)
