Thai police nab 100 illegal immigrants

AYUTTHAYA, August 10 (TNA) - Police in Thailand's central Ayutthaya Province apprehended a pool of migrant workers from neighbouring Myanmar and Cambodia on Friday for illegal entry into the Thai territory. Ayutthaya police chief Police Colonel Suthep Chanasit led a team of 30 local police officers to raid a fertilizer factory in the Bo Pong (บ่อโพง) locality of Nakhon Luang (นครหลวง) District and captured the 40 illegal immigrants. The local police have, meanwhile, arrested over 100 illegal immigrants from neighboring countries in their raids at factories throughout Ayutthaya’s 15 districts so far, saying that all the nabbed migrant workers will later be deported to their home countries.
