THAI serves passengers as usual

BANGKOK, February 10 (TNA) - Thai Airways International (THAI), the national flag carrier, has provided services as usual, despite reports that its staffs planned to go on strike. At the THAI headquarters on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road in Bangkok, no staffs wore black or went on strike on Monday morning as earlier persuaded through leaflets. At Thailand's main Suvarnabhumi International Airport, THAI staffs also continued working as usual, with domestic and international flights still serving a large number of passengers. Recently, Acting THAI President Chokchai Panyayong dismissed reports that some THAI staffs planned to stop working and wear black to protest against the allegedly corrupt caretaker government, confirming that THAI staffs work as usual. Chokchai explained that THAI reduced frequencies of its flights on some routes because the number of passengers dropped and the annually low tourism season begins next month. (TNA)
