BANGKOK, October 30 (TNA) - Thailand and China have agreed on bilateral cooperation on the development of space technologies, covering those for the sake of disaster and business management systems, as well as the establishment of an industrial estate for space technologies. Thailand's Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) and China's Wuhun Information Technology Outsourcing Service and Research Center (WITOSRC) announced the agreed cooperation at a joint press conference in Bangkok on Wednesday, which is focused on the promotion of China's navigation satellites or the Pei Tou Satellites. The space cooperation between Thailand's GISTDA and China's WITOSRC includes the installation of a weather forecast cum disaster warning and management system in the Thai agricultural sector, the development of Pei Tou-guided industries and the establishment of an industrial estate for space technologies in Sriracha District of Thailand's eastern resort Chonburi Province, aimed to promote Thailand to become a hub for the development of space technologies in ASEAN in the future.
