Thailand, Iran sign 1st MoU on health cooperation

BANGKOK, March 9 (TNA) – Thailand and Iran signed the first Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on health cooperation to be the guidelines for health system development and management. Thai Public Health Minister Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn and Iranian Minister of Health and Medical Education, Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi signed an MoU in Tehran. After the signing ceremony, Dr Piyasakol said the two countries have long-standing cooperation and this MoU is the first one. Under the MoU, the joint working committee will be set up to implement cooperation in 11 fields, including disease prevention, medicine and medical equipment, health researches, family medicine, food safety and health payment system.
