Thailand signs 3 agreements with Mongolia
Ulaanbaatar, April 28 (TNA) - Thailand on Sunday signed three agreements with Mongolia aimed at strengthening diplomatic and trade relations between the two countries.
The agreements were signed on a second day of three-day official visit to Mongolia by Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
Miss Yingluck, Thailand’s first prime minister to visit that country, will attend the 7th Ministerial Conference of the Community of Democracies during the visit.
The agreements including a memorandum of understanding on setting up a mechanism to boost bilateral relations, an agreement on science and technology cooperation, and a memorandum of understanding aimed at expanding trade.
Prior to witnessing the signing of the three agreements, Miss Yingluck attended the welcoming ceremony in which her Mongolian counterpart Norov Altankhuyag welcomed her and inspected the guard of honour.
Miss Yingluck later paid a courtesy call on Mongolian President Tsakhia Elbegdorj at the Marshal Palace and is scheduled to visit a textile and several factories later in the day. (TNA)
