Thailand, Sweden to enhance public health cooperation
BANGKOK, October 1 (TNA) - Thailand and Sweden have agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation in several public health services, particularly those for children and the elderly.
The agreement was reached during Monday's talks in Bangkok between Thai Deputy Public Health Minister Surawit Konsomboon and visiting Swedish Minister for Children and the Elderly Maria Larsson.
Both sides have planned to further discuss the agreed cooperation in details, before a memorandum of understanding (MOU) is signed in the future covering a plan to promote Thailand as an international medical hub to serve Swedish people and other nationals.
The visiting Swedish Minister also agreed to send experts and policy makers on children and elderly welfare to Thailand to share their experiences and to work together in the management and control of alcohol drinks in Thailand. (TNA)
