Thailand, Vietnam to hold 2nd joint Cabinet meeting

BANGKOK, October 10 (TNA) - Thailand and Vietnam will hold a joint Cabinet meeting, the second of its kind, in Vietnam on October 27, with bilateral cooperation on rice and fishery issues, as well as security and education to be on top of the agenda. Thai Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul told journalists of the 2nd Thai-Vietnamese joint Cabinet retreat Wednesday, saying that cooperation on solutions to human trafficking, as well as education and cultures, namely the promotion of the Vietnamese language in Thailand, will also be raised at the upcoming joint Thai-Vietnamese Cabinet meeting. According to the foreign minister, Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra will also hold bilateral talks with her Vietnamese counterpart, before holding a joint press conference on results of the 2nd joint Thai-Vietnamese Cabinet retreat, covering those coming from separate group meetings of Thai and Vietnamese ministers on specific issues.
