Thailand's interim government to be announced by early September
BANGKOK, June 13 (TNA) - Thailand's interim prime minister and government are expected to be announced by early September 2014.
Thai Army and National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) Chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha made the assessment on Friday, when he chaired a meeting of heads of government agencies in Bangkok on preparations of the 2015 fiscal state budget.
General Prayuth also said that urgent matters to be carried out now include creating reconciliation among those having political differences and establishing a national reform council as a platform for people from all sectors in the society to air and share their opinions.
The NCPO chief stated those who have performed duty with transparency should not be worried, as the NCPO exercises power only when necessary, taking public and national interests into account.
Meanwhile, reliable sources revealed that the NCPO chief is considering to lift curfew in all remaining Thai areas, as the overall domestic situation has been returning to normal.
Curfew is now imposed from midnight to 4am in most of the country's areas, following a coup staged by the NCPO on May 22.(TNA)
