Thanks to our ambitious youth, impossible is not Bahraini: HH Shaikh Nasser

Manama, Nov. 10 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, has highlighted the numerous successes across several fields achieved by Bahraini young men and women. In a keynote speech at the opening of the 2020 Youth Summit organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, HH Shaikh stressed the significance of conversing with young people to help find inspirations and solutions to the challenges faced by several sectors in the Kingdom. Conveying the greetings and appreciation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the participants, HH Shaikh Nasser affirmed that HM the King's great support and attention to the youth have contributed to numerous achievements by Bahrainis at various levels. They have also empowered young people in various fields and created an ideal environment for them to participate in the decision-making process for the development of various sectors in the Kingdom, he said. "I congratulate you on HM the King's directives in his address at the opening of the third session of the fifth legislative session of the parliament to make empowering the youth a national priority in order to stimulate their active participation in various fields. Accomplished and ambitious youth are the most secure asset for a promising future, and as such, they are at the core of the institutional work. Bahrain is rich with its youth, he said. "Two years ago, we launched the National Program for the Development of the Youth and Sports Sector (Response). This program was launched in response to meet the demands of young Bahrainis and their aspirations for a better future and in response to the vision of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. We pledged to HRH the Crown Prince that the young Bahraini would be effective members within the Team Bahrain and follow the approach set to achieve Bahrain's economic vision 2030. "The work shed light on the principles of Response, based on creating an open, fair and competitive environment that serves the youth and provides opportunities for all without exception, which resulted in making young people advisers to His Majesty the King and partners for the future of the Kingdom. It also highlighted accomplishments and shortcomings. And here, I would like to emphasize that our goal was and still is to make Bahrain the capital of youth and sports and to highlight Bahrain and its great development. God willing, we will achieve this by uniting efforts for the supreme goal of seeing Bahrain as the capital of youth and sports." "Thanks to our investment in youth, the harvest has been plentiful in a short period of time, in the form of youth achievements in entrepreneurship, literature, arts, various youth sectors and other fields. There are also sporting achievements, top rankings in many tournaments and encouraging professionalism. We have seen the creativity, achievement and continuous innovation of our youth in various fields. All this proves to everyone that the Bahraini is gold. "Bahraini youth are passionate about challenges and achievements, and here comes their role in a wonderful partnership to build the future and take advantage of their capabilities and skills to provide positive support for every sector that needs it. "Based on our belief in the youth and their aptitudes and on considering them the leaders of the future leaders, it is certain that they will be the ideal partner to develop solutions and plans for any challenges that face us. The best testimony to this is the current challenge of the coronavirus pandemic and the contribution of young people in an appropriate and appropriate manner. "Today, ministers are participating with us in different sessions, talking with young people, listening to what they say and learning about their suggestions and solutions to the various challenges that their sectors face. Their aim is to invest in the energies of youth and benefit from their positive energy to move forward to build a more modern Bahrain. "We do confirm that there is no 'impossible' with betting on ambitious Bahraini youth. In order for the discussions to be complete and to benefit from them, we have invited 350 young men and women among the finest Bahraini youth from the youth empowerment centers across the Kingdom’s governorates and local universities to participate in the sessions with the ministers who will review the challenges facing their sectors. The ministers hope to obtain from the youth the inspiration and solutions to address their challenges in innovative and actionable ways. “I look forward to this great summit for dialogue between ministers and young people to find out the outcomes of the sessions and the ideas that will be presented by Bahraini youth in them so that the follow-up process for implementation on the ground will follow. "As I extend my sincere thanks to the ministers and to the youth, I wish the summit success in providing solutions and initiatives aimed at overcoming challenges."
