Theaters’ employees clad in orange welcome “Orange Dressed”

TEHRAN,April 12(MNA) -- Employees of 25 theaters dedicated to “The Orange Dressed” in Tehran symbolically put on the orange uniform of the Iranian sanitation workers on Wednesday for the premiere of the environment-themed movie. Filmiran, the distributor of the film, took the initiative, a number of Persian media outlets announced. Directed by Dariush Mehrjuii, the film is about Hamed Aban, a photojournalist who quits his job and joins the ranks of the sanitation workers after he is deeply affected by reading a book about the importance of the cleanness of the environment. During an interview conducted one day before the premiere of his film, Mehrjuii asked the Iranian people to keep the environment clean He expressed hope that the film convinces the people to avoid producing garbage and to keep the environment clean. He also asked the officials to deem “The Orange Dressed” an alarm warning about the destruction of the environment. In February, Mehrjuii won the special jury award at the 30th Fajr International Film Festival in Tehran for “The Orange Dressed”.
