Third International Conference on Human Resource Development launched

Manama, Jan. 19 (BNA): Labor and Social Development Minister Jamil bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan inaugurated the third International Conference on Human Resources Development, organized by the Bahrain Society for Training & Development under the slogan “Mental Health in the Work Environment.”
The two-day conference aims to review successful best practices in building healthier institutions, companies and work environments to support the mental health of employees and workers in various facilities, and the recent studies presented by a number of experts and specialists in this field.
The minister stressed the importance of the employee’s mental health role in improving productivity in any institution, and the need to preserve psychological aspects, especially in times of major crises such as the spread of pandemics and others.
Humaidan expressed his thanks to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their visions and fruitful cooperation between executive and legislative branches that helped Bahrain to overcome the challenges and have a stable labor market.
He mentioned the success in achieving the targeted numbers by employing more than 26,000 Bahraini job seekers, and training more than 12,000 in 2021 within the National Employment Program second edition.
The minister affirmed the efforts made to contribute in enhancing stability, development and job security in the Kingdom and pointed out to the importance of such conferences to build a healthy environment in various workplaces to guarantee productivity in Bahrain.
