PREMIER ERDOGAN RENEWS ELECTION VICTORY FOR THIRD TERM IN OFFICE
Turkish Prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's ruling Justice and Development Party has won a landslide victory in Sunday's general elections by claiming one out of every two votes of the Turks, getting 49.91 percent of the total votes. This is the third straight election victory for Erdogan who boosted support from to as high as 50 percent from 34.28 percent in elections back in 2002. AK Party, however, won less seats than it did in the previous elections by getting 326 seats out of 550. In 2007 a 46.58 percent voter support gave Erdogan 341 lawmakers. Main opposition Republican People's Party won 25.91 percent of the votes with 135 seats as opposition Nationalist Movement Party won 13 percent with 53 seats. Independents get 2.8 million votes to claim 36 seats at the parliament.
ERDOGAN VOWS TO EMBRACE ALL IN NEW GOVERNMENT
Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan sought to give assurances that the new Justice and Development Party government would embrace all segments of the society. "The new AK Party government will be the government of 74 million citizens Turkey. Life styles, beliefs and values of each and every citizen in under our protection," Erdogan said speaking at a balcony of AK Party HQ in Ankara after Sunday's election results gave him a strong lead of almost 50 percent of the votes.

HE BREAKS RECORD OF MENDERES
Recep Tayyip Erdogan made history after winning three general elections successively by increasing his votes. Adnan Menderes had won three elections but in the third election he lost votes.
Justice & Development (AK) Party which came to power in 2002 by getting 34 percent of the votes, got 47 percent of the votes in 2007 and has won 50 percent of the votes in yesterday's elections.
Adnan Menderes hot got 52 percent of the votes in his first election, 57 percent in the second 47 percent of the votes in his last election. However, although AK Party increased percent of his votes, number of his MPs dropped to 326.
This figure is below 330, which enables the party to carry constitutional changes to referendum.
SECOND WINNER OF THE ELECTIONS IS BDP
Peace & Democracy Party (BDP) entered the elections under the platform Labor, Democracy and Freedom Block and won more than 2.5 million votes.
BDP reached 6.4 percent of the votes and won 36 deputyship.
In 2007 elections, BDP sent 21 parliamentarians to the parliament after getting 5.2 percent of the votes.
DON'T BE HOPELESS THE TARGET IS RULING
There was disappointment in Republican People's Party (CHP) when the election results were announced as CHP entered the elections with 30 percent target.
That atmosphere of hopelessness was erased with the statements of CHP chairman Kemal Kilicdaroglu who said, "the target is to be at the ruling after 4 years."

Turkey wanted stability to continue. Recep Tayyip Erdogan got the visa, which he asked to continue his master period with the votes of one of the two electors and came to ruling for the third time.
In his traditional speech from the balcony, Erdogan gave messages of compromise and brotherhood to Turkey.
"Either they give vote or not to AK Party, we will be the government of 74 million people. Style of living, belief, and values of each of our citizens are entrusted to us," he said.
3.5 MILLION NEW VOTES
Kemal Kilicdaroglu, chairman of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), said CHP was the only party increasing number of the votes in this election.
Kilicdaroglu also made an address to his supporters from the balcony and gave three messages. He said CHP got the highest number of votes since September 12 military coup, noting CHP received 3.5 million new voters.
He said CHP became the only party increasing number of its votes, adding CHP would immediately start to work to become the ruling after four years.
