He said that 1,686 buildings became uninhabitable being damaged seriously in the tremor.

Simav town of the western province of Kutahya was shaken with an earthquake on May 19. Evaluating the developments after the earthquake, Turkish State Minister and Deputy Premier Cemil Cicek said that there were 177 buildings in Simav that must be urgently demolished as they were damaged during the earthquake.
