ERDOGAN WARNS ASSAD FOR LAST TIME
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a phone conversation with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. He called Erdogan and congratulated him on his Justice and Development (AK) Party's victory in the parliamentary elections held in Turkey on Sunday. Erdogan told al-Assad that developments in Syria made a negative impact on Syria's image in the international community. Erdogan warned al-Assad that the international community could take action against him.

ARREST WARRANTS FOR THREE 
Arrest warrants were issued for three crew members within the scope of an investigation regarding four Russian tourist guides who died of alcohol poisoning in southwestern resort town of Bodrum. These three crew members were earlier detained and released.

WE SHOULD DO IT WITHIN FIRST YEAR
Turkish Deputy Premier Cemil Cicek said that the planned constitutional amendments could be viable provided that they were implemented within a year after the general elections, otherwise, there might be other elections and the process might be delayed. Commenting on whether he would run as candidate for the Parliament Speaker's Office, Cicek said he was not to decide on such candidacy, adding that all 326 members of his party were valuable statesmen.

ERDOGAN WARNS ASSAD: LEAVE VIOLENCE ASIDE
As Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad called Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to congratulate him over his election victory, the two officials discussed the latest developments in Syria. During the phone conversation, Erdogan recommended Al-Assad to stay away from violence and to implement reforms as soon as possible. The prime minister also expressed his concerns over the refugee inflow from Syria.

8,000 IN TENT CITIES
The number of Syrians who have arrived in Turkey after unrest in Syria exceeded 8,500. Syrians who have fled to Turkey are living in four separate tent cities. There are around 5,000 Syrians waiting to cross into Turkey at the border region.

GURAL GROUP OPENING UP TO AFRICA
Celebrating the 50th year in the industry, the President of the Executive Board of Gural Group Nafi Gural gave a list of 50 sectors in Africa to his assistants. High level officials of the Gural Group will visit Africa in July. "In order to reach the goals of Turkey in 2023, the private sector must play an important role and globalization is a must. Turkish companies must globalize by not merely exporting goods but also by establishing partnerships in other countries," Nafi Gural stressed.

ERDOGAN PRESENTS RESIGNATION TO PRESIDENT GUL
The Council of Ministers of the 60th government convened for the last time on Tuesday. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan thanked cabinet members and bade farewell to them. Later Erdogan presented resignation of the cabinet to President Abdullah Gul at Cankaya Presidential Palace. Later U.S. President Barack Obama called Erdogan and congratulated him on his victory in June 12 parliamentary elections.

ERDOGAN TELLS AL-ASSAD VIOLENCE MUST BE ENDED
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad called Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and congratulated him on his Justice and Development (AK) Party's victory in the parliamentary elections held in Turkey on Sunday. Erdogan told al-Assad that violence in his country must be ended. Erdogan said that reforms must be implemented in Syria quickly. Meanwhile, the number of Syrians who escaped from violence in their country and crossed into Turkey reached 8,538.

FIGHT OVER 26 PERCENT
Many of the opposition within the Republican People's Party (CHP) did not find the 26 percent of votes received as adequate. The opposition in the CHP said that the election results on Sunday were a complete failure for the party. Meanwhile, CHP's Gursel Tekin said that it would be unfair to suggest that the CHP leadership of only four months failed in the elections.

AMBASSADORS IN REGION TO ARRIVE IN ANKARA
The number of Syrians who fled into Turkey after running away from violence in Syria has reached 8,538. The Syrians are living in tent cities at the Turkish-Syrian border. In a meeting chaired by Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, a decision was taken to bring together Turkey's ambassadors in the region in a gathering in Ankara to assess the regional developments.

MESSAGES IN THAT ENVELOPE
Ipsos asked Turkish voters the points that affected them while casting their voters. The results are striking. The survey has revealed that Justice and Development (AK) Party voters had made up their minds long before the election, moreover, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan had been an important factor in their decisions. As for Republican People's Party (CHP), the survey said only half of CHP supporters fully embraced their party. Ipsos also said that there had been a certain shift in votes of Nationalist Movement Party (MHP).

ZOMBIE WARNING TO INTERNET USERS
As the hacker-activist group "Anonymous" said that it would launch attacks against several web-sites, Turkey's Transportation Ministry warned internet users. The ministry said users should set passwords for their modems, or otherwise, they would be found guilty if hackers managed to use their computers. Serhat Ozeren, the head of Transportation Ministry's Internet Board, said that Anonymous hackers used zombie computers while staging their attacks. "You will have to prove your innocence if they use your computer," the official said.

ERDOGAN PRESENTS RESIGNATION AND GOES ON HOLIDAY
The Council of Ministers convened for the last time on Tuesday. President Abdullah Gul received Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan at Cankaya Presidential Palace. Erdogan presented resignation of the cabinet to Gul. Later Erdogan went on holiday to take a rest after the parliamentary elections. Premier Erdogan will spend his holiday in southwestern province of Mugla till June 20.

"TURKISH LANGUAGE FESTIVAL" TO KICK OFF IN ISTANBUL
The "Turkish Language Festival" will kick off at Istanbul's Dolmabahce Palace on Wednesday evening. Around 1,000 students from 130 countries will read poems and sing songs in Turkish for the next 15 days.

FIFTH TENT CITY TO BE ERECTED IN TURKEY FOR SYRIANS
The number of Syrians who fled into Turkey after running away from violence in their country exceeded 8,500. Turkish authorities are erecting a fifth tent city along the Turkish-Syrian border in order to accommodate Syrian nationals. Meanwhile, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a phone conversation, told Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to end violence and implement reforms immediately.

"End the violence, stop the incidents and hurry up for reforms," Erdogan told Assad during the conversation. Erdogan also shared his concerns about the refugee inflow from Syria and warned the Syrian president about the recent anti-Turkey demonstrations in his country.

MUTINY IN CHP
Some circles' efforts to present the election failure as a "victory" have given rise to discussions within Republican People's Party (CHP). Following former CHP leader Deniz Baykal's remarks describing the election results as a "disappointment", CHP Yalova deputy Muharrem Ince also expressed his reaction. Commenting on CHP's vote rate, Ince said, "There is no success in these results".
