FIRST HER GRATITUDE COMES
Turkish and foreign journalists have rushed into the tent-site, established for the Syrian citizens who crossed into Turkey to flee the unrest in their country, thanks to the scheduled visit of Academy Award winner actress Angelina Jolie, who is also a United Nations (UN) good will envoy. Jolie will arrive in the southern province of Hatay to visit the tent-site. Jolie will directly fly to Hatay by her private jet, and stay in the region for almost five hours. Through UN Representation to Turkey, Jolie thanked Turkey for the permission given to visit the tent-site and for opening of border crossings.

A high-level state official, who paid a visit to Higher Education Board (YOK) President Prof. Dr. Yusuf Ziya Ozcan, made a horrifying warning for the second leg of the university entrance exam (LYS) which will take place this and the following weekend. The official said, "LYS questions will be stolen from the Student Selection & Placement Center (OSYM), and will be distributed to entire Turkey through e-mail of a Justice & Development (AK) Party lawmaker."
Ozcan said, "it is possible that questions can be leaked out by methods we don't know. It is a very horrifying scenario." Ozcan informed the security about the claim, and security measures have been tightened in trucks carrying question booklets, OSYM building, and depots where booklets are kept. YOK, OSYM and security department will work in coordination until the exam is over.

WOMEN'S SCREAMS FROM OTHER SIDE OF BORDER
Syrians who have taken shelter in tent camps in Turkey's southern Hatay province due to the ongoing unrest in their country told The Times about the violent acts of Syrian soldiers. Syrians said soldiers raped women and cut their breasts off. A woman refugee told the paper that she had been raped by 12 people, adding that the men who had attempted to save the women had been thrown nitric acid in the face.
