A total of 11,000 people tested for COVID-19 nationwide

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Of the 42 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia, 60 percent were imported from Russia and the rest from 11 countries, of which 45 percent are men and 55 percent are women.
Clinically, 40 percent of the cases have been infected mild, 35.7 percent were moderate, 17 percent were heavy and 7.3 percent were severe. Out of the registered cases, 15 have been recovered and discharged from the NCCD and put under isolation for 14-day at isolation facilities and 14-day at home. So far, five of those who have recovered are in isolation sanatoriums, two are in NCCD, one is under home observation, and seven have completed their observation.
Currently, a total of six laboratories are testing 90-120 people for COVID-19 a day. Since January, more than 11,000 people have been tested in virology laboratories nationwide in total.
Since January 7, 2020, 316 suspicious cases have been put into isolation and tested negative for COVID-19. 78 percent of the suspicious cases have showed clinical signs of acute respiratory infection.
Since the outbreak of global pandemic, the NCCD conducted surveillance on about 500 people in 12 separate observation posts.
