Tourism Ministry Advice Over Qatar Airways Flight Tickets

PUTRAJAYA (Malaysia), June 15 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Tourism and Culture has advised Malaysians with Qatar Airways flight tickets bought from licensed travel agencies to deal with the companies on what to do next following the cancellation of the airline’s flights to Saudi Arabia and several other Gulf countries. The cancellation of the flights would affect the travel plans of the passengers due to a change in the dates set earlier for flights to the Gulf countries for tourism, business or ‘umrah’ (minor haj), it said in a statement Wednesday. The ministry said the ticket holders could surf the Qatar Airways website at www.qatarairways.com or contact (006) 03 - 2118 6100 or +974 4022 0072 for more information. Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and several other countries broke off diplomatic ties with Qatar last week, accusing it of supporting armed groups and Iran.
