Toy warehouse in Sampheng closed after fire yesterday

BANGKOK, Jan 30 (TNA) - The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) announced commercial buildings, hit by fire yesterday in Sampheng area off-limits for 30 days. The closure will allow a team of engineer from the Engineering Institute of Thailand and officials from the Samphanthawong district to inspect damage of the five –storey buildings and it is also for the safety reason. The fire broke out on the first floor of the toy warehouse and spread to adjacent buildings. There is no report of any injury. EIT chairman, Thanet Weerasiri said that the experts are inspecting the structure of the 50-year old building to evaluate whether it can be repaired or must be dismantled. (TNA)
