SHELVED THROUGH PROMOTION
Ergenekon case's prosecutor Zekeriya Oz was appointed as the acting chief prosecutor of Istanbul. Oz's title as "prosecutor with special authority" was taken away. Oz will from now on work at Sultanahmet Court House.
"ZIRVE" SEARCH IN BEYAZ HODJA'S HOUSE
Police searched houses of theologists in six provinces within the scope of the massacre at Zirve Publishing House in eastern province of Malatya. The Zirve Publishing House case has been combined with the Ergenekon case. Professor Zekeriya Beyaz said, "my house is being searched for my missionary studies. Beyaz said he had written a book about Fethullah Gulen and Said-i Nursi, and police collected documents regarding the book.
ARRESTS CAN AFFECT US
State Minister for European Union (EU) and chief negotiator Egemen Bagis commented on arrest of two journalists: "It is merciless to associate the process with our party. Such a sensitivity will have a negative affect on the government more than any one in the election process."

DEATH SENTENCE IS NOT IN OUR AGENDA
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, while commenting on the death sentence discussions which erupted after killing of three children in central Anatolian province of Kayseri, stated that death sentence was not on the agenda of the government.
Erdogan also reacted to those who are against nuclear power plant. He said, "this mentality has not served to the protection of environment, on the contrary it became a reason of many environmental disasters."
WHAT HAPPENED IN HASDAL THAT DAY
Council of Europe Anti-Torture Committee, CPT, prepared a report basing on the inspections it carried out in 41 police stations and prisons in June 4-17, 2009 in Turkey.
The report underlined that torture and maltreatment lessened in Turkey. Yet, the report focused on killing of Murat Comez and Mecit Akkaya, the two soldiers under arrest, who choked to death in Hasdal Military Prison in a fire that broke out after a riot in 2008.
TURKEY WINS GOLD MEDAL WITH FATIH
Turkey's Fatih Cakiroglu won gold medal in men's freestyle 120 kg category in the European Wrestling Championship in Dortmund city of Germany.
Cakiroglu defeated Alexei Shemarov of Belarus in the men's freestyle competition and claimed gold medal.

Zekeriya Oz, who has been appointed as acting chief prosecutor of Istanbul, has no more any connection with the Ergenekon investigation. The Supreme Board of Judges & Prosecutors (HSYK) made surprise appointments including Ergenekon case prosecutors. Oz's "special authority" was taken back." Fikret Secen was appointed as the acting chief prosecutor with special authority.
IRAQI PARLIAMENT AHEAD OF US
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, "there are every type of representatives at the Iraqi parliament. They are ahead of us in this respect." Erdogan said, "82 of 325 lawmakers at the Iraqi parliament are women."
