HE FLIES 15,000 KM TO GET ARRESTED
Turkey's military attache to Australia Colonel Murat Atac, for whom the court issued a warrant of arrest under Balyoz Plan case, arrived in Turkey yesterday. Atac surrendered in headquarters in Istanbul after flying 20 hours and 15,000 kilometers. He was transferred to Silivri, and then appeared at court which arrested and sent him to Hasdal Prison.
AK PARTY ON 1ST PLACE IN BALLOT PAPER
A drawing in Higher Election Board set the places of 24 political parties in ballot paper which will be used in June 12 general elections. A representative of ruling Justice & Development (AK) Party drew the first place. Meanwhile, main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) will take the fourth place, and Nationalist Movement Party the 12th place.

SECOND PLAN: "HAWK"
It was revealed that the operation in which nine people were killed in Umraniye Prison was planned beforehand. The plan called "The Hawk" included details like the jail keepers' being voluntary hostage.
Then Justice Minister Hikmet Sami Turk said he was not informed about the plans, however, the operation in Umraniye started with the directives of Justice Ministry to Chief Prosecutor's Office in Uskudar saying, "make demands from Gendarmerie".
BILLION DOLLAR RACE AT SEA
Fast ferry of Istanbul (IDO), which provides 40 percent of sea transportation of the city, will be privatized. According to analysts, value of the company is at least 700 million USD. However, it is estimated that the figure may be above 1 billion USD.
Tepe-Akfen-Souther-Sera joint venture, Global Port Enterprises, Yildirim Holding, Deniz Tourism Investments-Stena Investment Holding joint venture group and Torunlar Food Industry will compete in today's tender.
RED LINE BETWEEN TURKEY AND DAMASCUS
Counter-terrorism agreement with Syria was approved. Turkey, from now on, will extradite PKK members who are Syrian citizen. Direct telephone line will be established between the chiefs of general staff of the two countries.

SOLUTION IS DEMOCRACY IN LIBYA
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan suggested a three-phase plan to end the clash in Libya.
1-A cease-fire shall be declared, and Gaddafi shall withdraw from the cities he besieged.
2-Secure humanitarian zones shall be set up without making any discrimination.
3-Democratic change process shall begin immediately.
Noting that a black propaganda was being made against Turkey, Erdogan said, "we are noting them down" by mentioning some forces.
