FAST-BREAKING DINNER WITH MINORITIES
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will attend a fast-breaking dinner which will be hosted by 162 religious community foundations in Istanbul on August 28. There will be Greek, Armenian, Jewish, Assyrian, Bulgarian, Georgian, Catholic and Chaldean communities in the dinner.

Bodies of the soldiers, who were killed in the treacherous attack of PKK terrorists on Hakkari-Cukurca road two days ago, were sent to their hometowns by plane for their funerals after the ceremonies held in the southeastern province of Hakkari and the eastern province of Van yesterday. Hakkari Mountain & Commando Brigade's Commander Gen. Levent Kose said during the ceremony, "we are suffering a big pain. Our sadness is as big as mountains but we will hold our head high. I clearly say: They will not win."

Seating order has changed in the National Security Council (MGK) as it took place in the Supreme Military Council. Earlier, military members sat as a bloc on one side of the table, but yesterday civilian and military members of the council sat on both sides of the table in accordance with the order required by state protocol. President's office said that the new order gave the message of unity. MGK reiterated commitment to continue the fight against terrorism in its meeting on Thursday.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan paid a visit to the family of major Yavuz Basayar who was martyred in a terrorist attack in Cukurca town of southeastern province of Hakkari. Erdogan offered his condolences to Basayar's father and mother in their house in Yenimahalle district in Ankara.
