FALLEN SOLDIERS BIDDEN FAREWELL
Thirteen Turkish troops who were killed on Thursday in an ambush by PKK terrorists in southeast Turkey, were bidden farewell yesterday in a military ceremony in Diyarbakir. Their caskets wrapped in Turkish flags were carried on the shoulders. Deputy Premier Bekir Bozdag, Interior Minister Idris Naim Sahin, Defense minister Ismet Yilmaz as well as Land Forces Commander Gen. Erdal Ceylanoglu and Commander of the Gendarmery Forces Gen. Necdet Ozel attended the funeral ceremony. Remains of the martyred soldiers were sent back to their home towns after the ceremony.

PREMIER LASHES OUT AT DEMOCRATIC AUTONOMY PROCLAMATION
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan strongly denounced Democratic Society Congress (DTK) which announced democratic autonomy in country's southeast. "Ill-intended behaviour can never receive good conduct from us. We have four basic principles that cannot change: One nation, one flag, one country, one state. We will not take a backward step on none these principles. No one should expect that," Erdogan said.

THE PROCESS WILL BE DIFFERENT FROM NOW ON
Prime Minister Recep Tayyyip Erdogan relayed strong messages to PKK and Peace & Democracy Party (BDP) following killing of 13 soldiers. 
Erdogan said, "I am very clearly and openly saying that the terrorist organization and its extensions should never expect good will acts from us against those ill-intended behaviors. If those want peace, the terrorist organization should first lay down arms. If they fail to lay down arms, neither the operations will stop nor the process will be at a different point."

COMMON ATTITUDE FROM THREE PARTIES
Justice & Development (AK) Party, Republican People's Party (CHP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) issued a joint statement against terrorism. The statement said, "we will act together with the government in every step which it will make within the scope of state of law, principles of democracy and respect to human rights."

SOLDIERS ARE TIRED, HIT THEM
Here are the details of the attack in which 13 soldiers were martyred: The teams looking for five people, two of them were soldiers, who were kidnapped on July 9 were unable to sleep. Thermal cameras detected heat at Resan River at midnight on July 14.
The terrorist responsible for the area told his militants from the wireless that, "the soldiers are very tired. Why don't you hit them?"
Troops got alarmed after hearing the announcement and clash erupted after 40 minutes.
Two soldiers died in the first fire opened by the PKK. The terrorists attacked soldiers with rocket launchers and hand grenades. The haystack got inflamed, the troops tried to withdraw but most of the injured died as they could not move from the positions.

THERE IS NO KURDISH PROBLEM, THERE IS PKK PROBLEM
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the bloody attack once again showed the ill intensions of PKK and its political extensions.
Erdogan said, "the next process will continue with different implementations. Security forces are very strong. Our four fundamental principles will not change. One nation, one flag, one country and one state."
