NOT FRENCH, FROM KADIKOY 
Muriel Marland Militello, a French member of the Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE) who asked Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan a question on the minorities in Turkey after the premier addressed a recent session of the assembly, turned out to be from Istanbul's Kadikoy district. Upon Militello's question, Erdogan said that the French parliamentarian was a stranger to Turkey.
Commenting on her Turkish descent, Militello said her family's name was Selian and her grandfather, together with the rest of the family, had to run away from Istanbul during the incidents of 1915. The lawmaker said her grandfather used to speak fluent Turkish and she was proud of her Turkish descent. Mutiello said Erdogan's words describing her as a stranger to Turkey were wrong in that sense.

6 OF TOP 10 TAX CHAMPIONS FROM KOC FAMILY
Turkish businessman Rahmi Koc has become Turkey's tax champion in 2010 with an income tax of 22.89 million Turkish liras. Rahmi Koc's sisters Semahat Arsel and Suna Kirac, as well as his sons Mustafa, Omer and Ali Koc has also been listed among the top 10 taxpayers in Turkey.

WE ARE NOT FRENCH, BUT FROM KADIKOY
French Parliamentarian Muriel-Marland Militello, about whom Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said "I think she is French (meaning stranger in Turkish) to Turkey", revealed to be an Armenian descent Istanbul inhabitant. 
Militello said her grandmother and grandfather had to leave Turkey in 1915, noting his mother and father lived in Istanbul till that date. 
Militello also said style of Erdogan did not comply with the rules of courtesy in Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE).

IS THIS ALSO BY MISTAKE?
Prof.Dr.Ali Demir, the chairman of the Student Selection and Replacement Center (OSYM), sent a letter to 1.7 million candidates who took the examination and said the encoded booklet distributed to media was prepared on March 27, when the exam ended. However, it is seen in the web-page of OSYM that the booklet was prepared on March 24.

I CAME TO CONTRIBUTE WORLD LEADER
Retired Pilot General Sirin Unal and Ahmet Kutalmis Turkes, son of defunct Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Alpaslan Turkes, ran their candidacy from Justice & Development (AK) Party. 
Unal said, "I want to contribute to the program of our world leader and serve Turkey". Kutalmis Turkes said prime minister wanted him to run his candidacy from AK Party.

BASCI TO REPLACE CENTRAL BANK GOVERNOR YILMAZ
Erdem Basci, deputy Central Bank Governor will become the new Central Bank Governor after Durmus Yilmaz. Former President Ahmet Necdet Sezer vetoed Basci in 2006.
