SILVAN ATTACK CARRIED TO COURT
Turkey's General Staff made public the results of the investigation regarding the recent attack which left 13 soldiers dead and 7 others wounded in southeastern Silvan town. Revealing the details yesterday evening, the General Staff said no aircraft had been used during the clash and the claims that the troops had been ambushed while preparing to return to their base was not true. General Staff also said it was a mistake to open the scene of the clash to the press, adding that the issue would be sent to the court in order to clarify the uncertainties regarding the attack.
LEAGUE TO KICK OFF WITH 18 TEAMS
Turkish Football Federation (TFF) head Mehmet Ali Aydinlar announced the league calendar during his meeting with executives of football clubs. Aydinlar said the Spor Toto Super League will begin on September 9 with the participation of 18 teams, while the Bank Asya First League will also kick off with 18 teams. Describing the days Turkish football are going through currently as "chaotic", Aydinlar said 5-6 teams from the Super League and 6-7 teams from the Bank Asya League might be relegated.

TURKISH MOSQUE ATTACKED IN BELGIUM
A group of assailants attacked the Alaaddin Mosque in Belgian city of Charlorie on Tuesday. They took down Belgian and Turkish flags and broke the glasses of the mosque. Belgian Police began an investigation into the attack.
TERROR SUMMIT IN CAPITAL
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Chief of General Staff Gen. Isik Kosaner, Deputy Prime Minister Besir Atalay, Justice Minister Sadullah Ergin, and Interior Minister Idris Naim Sahin met for an hour in Ankara on Tuesday. The topic of the meeting was PKK terrorism and plans for special operation experts in counter-terrorism.

KILICDAROGLU PROPOSES A COMMITTEE OF WISEMEN IN COUNTER-TERRORISM
Chairman of main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), Kemal Kilicdaroglu, suggested that the Turkish Parliament establish a "committee of wisemen" in counter-terrorism. CHP leader said that they would extend support to efforts for a new Constitution.
YILDIZ: WE WILL ASK FOR A REDUCTION IN PRICE OF NATURAL GAS
Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Taner Yildiz, said that Turkey would ask Russian Gazprom for a reduction in the price of natural gas supplied to Turkey. Yildiz's comments came after Gazprom reduced the price of natural gas supplied to Italian EDISON Company.
