NO PLASTIC BAGS IN BOZCAADA
Use of plastic bags will be banned in Bozcaada, one of the most popular tourism centers in northwestern Turkey, as of June 5th World Environment Day. Mustafa Mutay, mayor of the town, said that they would encourage people to use cloth bags and paper bags instead of plastic ones.

Thousands of people took to the streets after the Information & Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) announced that it would begin applying four different internet filtering systems throughout the country as of August 22. During the protests in 31 different provinces, people carried banners reading, "don't touch my internet" and "don't click on freedom".

PREMIER ERDOGAN ADDRESSES PEOPLE IN ANTALYA
The ruling Justice and development (AK) Party Chairman and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed people in southern province of Antalya. Erdogan said, "we are the guarantee of life style of every citizen. We never interfered in appearance of our people and never interfered in what our citizens drink or eat so far. We will not interfere in it from now on. We did not intervene in belief of anyone and we will never intervene in it."

After 12 terrorists were killed in southeastern province of Sirnak, PKK declared three-day mourning for them. Several demonstrations were held in the region. A group of people wanted to take bodies of killed terrorists but soldiers prevented them. Security forces take necessary measures in the region.

4 BLN TL RESOURCE FOR 1 MILLION DISABLED PEOPLE
Amount of aid provided by some state institutions for the disabled people has exceeded 4 billion Turkish lira (nearly 2.6 billion USD). A total of 1,083,000 disabled people benefitted from those aids.
SPRING IN WEST, WINTER IN EAST
The snowfall in the eastern provinces of Erzincan and Kars has surprised people. While snow dept reached 15 centimetres in Ardahan town of Kars, people rushed to the beaches in western and southern parts of Turkey.
