GOOGLE SURPRISE TO CAGLAYAN
Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan visited campus of Google in the Silicon Valley in the United States. Caglayan became the first minister that got in the unmanned car developed by Google.
Caglayan came to his hotel by the unmanned car, "I was not informed about this. They made me a surprise" he said.
Caglayan was accompanied by Google Business Development Manager Seval Oz, sister of renowned heart surgeon Mehmet Oz.
TURKISH SATELLITE TO BE LAUNCHED
Rasat, the first Turkish satellite, will be launched to space from the Russian-Kazah border.
Rasat was produced by Turkish engineers in TUBITAK-UZAY (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey - Space Technologies Research Institute).
The images that will be taken by Rasat from 700 km will be used in agriculture.
TURKEY GOES OUT OF PATIENCE
The United States supported Turkey's Syria ultimatum. U.S. State Department Spokesperson Victoria Nulan said it was not surprise for them that Turkey goes out of patience. She said they were informed that such a strong statement would be made.

TURKEY TAKES FIRST STEP AGAINST SYRIA
Turkey, which carried out joint military manoeuvres with Syrian army and planned to further develop its cooperation in defense industry, has decided to postpone its military and defense cooperation projects with Syria. Sales contracts for 100 thousand wireless sets and coast-guard boats were also postponed.

Yilmaz Guney's films will be screened in the USA and Canada. A criminal gang has established an imaginary empire of exports with more than 500 companies. They swindled the state and caused a damage of 51 million Turkish lira (nearly $28 million) with fake bills. Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) Acting President Ahmet Akbalik said that he could not imagine such a complicated corruption plan.

A team from the Middle East Technical University (METU) has won Green Dots 2010 1st Prize with their design "PET-TREE". Considered as one of the most prestigious environmental competitions, the Green Dot Awards 2010 were announced earlier this month. "DESIGNNOBIS" team led by Hakan Gursu of the METU Faculty of Architecture won the award with a multi-layered vertical eco-planting system with re-used PETs called "PET-TREE".
