NEW ISTANBUL WILL HAVE NO WATER PROBLEM FOR 50 YEARS
Even if Istanbul's population increases to 35 million with Canal Istanbul project and the two new cities to be built, the city will have no problems regarding water. As Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (ISKI) struggled with corruption and scandals in 1991, dams of the city had gone dry. In the last 20 years, the city's population has doubled and number of subscribers has increased by 4 times. During the term Prime Minister Erdogan was the mayor, water problem was solved thanks to giant investments. Even if there are no new investments, there will be no water problem for 50 years.
