"2023 IS OF VITAL IMPORTANCE"
Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that Turkey had rebuilt itself and should maintain the reform process till 2023. "If we fail to complete our historical responsibilities in our region and our restoration process, we can face a serious crisis. Therefore, we need to take solid steps prior to the next decade which will shape the 21st century. Turkey has taken serious steps in its democratization by foreseeing the public uprisings in the Middle East. We also succeeded in putting an end to the concept of domestic threat. Now, there is no domestic threat, but domestic potential."

RESOURCES FOR DISABLED PEOPLE
More than 1 million disabled people have been benefitted from the services provided by the recent arrangements. A resource of 4 billion TL (nearly 2.6 billion USD) was allocated for the arrangements aiming at helping the disabled people to participate in the social life. The disabled people account for 13 percent of the population in Turkey. 

PROTESTS IN ISTANBUL AN ANKARA   
Internet users have gathered in Istanbul and Ankara to protest a decision by the Information & Communication Technologies Authority (BTK). They carried banners reading "don't touch my internet". Ezgi Koksal, who made a press release on behalf protesters in Istanbul, said that internet users' freedom of expression and their access to information could not be prevented.

GULER SABANCI SAYS EU SHOULD CHANGE
Turkey's Sabanci Holding Executive Board Chairperson Guler Sabanci said that Turkey's EU membership was inevitable, stating that Turkey would become a full member of the EU sooner or later. Sabanci said that the European Union needed diversity and if EU did not change, it would turn into a static museum.

TURKEY'S WEAPON EXPORTS ON RISE
Turkey's weapon and ammunition exports rose by 11.9 percent to 91.2 million U.S. dollars in the period between January and April 2011 when compared to the same period of last year. Weapon exports were mainly made to Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia.
