THEY COULD NOT BECOME "PARLIAMENTARIAN"
Parliament opened painfully. 35 independent parliamentarians boycotted the parliament showing decision of Election Board to strip Hatip Dicle off his legislative rights as pretext. CHP accompanied the boycott as its two MPs, under arrest under Ergenekon case, were not released.
Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) took oath although its MP Engin Alan is under arrest on charges of Balyoz case.
The 'parliamentarians' who did not take oath can take their salaries but can not represent the people who voted for them in the Parliament.

MEETING TO BE HELD IN DIYARBAKIR
As the parliament opens, parliamentarians supported by Peace & Democracy Party (BDP) said, "our decision for boycott will continue. We will make the group meetings in Diyarbakir every week."

"TRADE VOLUME WITH CHILE TO GO UP TO 1 BLN USD"
The chairman of the Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists of Turkey (TUSKON) said on Tuesday that Turkey and Chile could raise their trade volume to 1 billion USD in a short time.
Rizanur Meral said two countries could achieve that goal if they brought reliable businessmen together. 
"Our aim is to achieve a trade volume of 1 billion USD in three years," Meral said during a seminar on "Free Trade Agreement: Opportunities for Bilateral Economic and Trade Relations" in Istanbul.
Meral said there were many investment opportunities in Chile, particularly in agriculture, agricultural industry, textiles, ready-to-wear, construction materials, contracting services, tourism and food, and the country was expecting Turkish businessmen.

YAPI KREDI CHOSEN AS TURKEY'S BEST BANK
Yapi Kredi was chosen as Turkey's best bank in 2011 by the World Finance financial publication. Director General of Yapi Kredi, Faik Acikalin, said that the award they received was a pleasing development for both Yapi Kredi and the Turkish banking sector.

WHIM TO JURISDICTION
Republican People's Party (CHP), trying to discharge Mehmet Haberal and Mustafa Balbay from prison, cast shadow over the parliament which has the biggest representation force of the Republican history.
CHP decided not to take oath till the MPs, which the jurisdiction did not give Parliament visa, are released.
Speaking at his party group meeting, CHP chairman Kemal Kilicdaroglu said, "we will not take oath, till ways are opened for our friends to take oath."

PUT FORTH YOUR PROPOSAL, LET US SOLVE
Commenting on the decision of CHP not to take oath till a concrete step is taken regarding the situation of Mustafa Balbay and Mehmet Haberal, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, "they should first put forth their proposal, and we will later say what we think."
Suheyl Batum of CHP made a proposal which will open ways of release for those accused of Ergenekon and Balyoz cases. He asked specially authorized courts to be abolished and detention period to be reduced to two years.
