THE MOST SECURE POWER PLANT
Turkish Minister of Energy & Natural Resources Taner Yildiz said Turkey was dependent on foreign countries in energy and underlined that nuclear energy was a need. Yildiz said there were 442 nuclear power plants in the world, noting, "you can not show any country which is developed and which does not use nuclear energy. Nuclear energy is one of the most important piece of development. We are not ignoring even the smallest detail in security."

"TURKEY PLAN" ON TABLE
28 NATO member countries are discussing solution plan of Ankara prepared for Libya. 
Recent situation in Libya is being assessed in Berlin. Foreign ministers of NATO member countries will determine the steps that would be made regarding the road map of Turkey for political solution and humanitarian assistance.
Meanwhile, opponent groups in Libya made a call which wanted Turkey to be mediator.

REESTABLISHMENT FROM HSYK TO PROSECUTORS
Another positive consequence of September 12 referendum regarding constitutional package will start to be implemented. The Supreme Board of Judges & Prosecutors (HSYK) convened to assess the situation of prosecutors who were dismissed from office, and took historic decisions. 
Decision against Ferhat Sarikaya, former Public Chief Prosector of eastern province of Van, who was dismissed from office because of Semdinli indictment, was removed. 
HSYK also found rightful the oppositions of prosecutors in Erzurum, who were stripped of their special authorities because of Ergenekon investigation, and authorities of Osman Sanal, Rasim Karakullukcu and Mehmet Yazici were returned.

THY'S IRBIL FLIGHTS STARTED WITH SPEECH IN TURKISH AND KURDISH 
Turkish Airlines launched flights to Irbil city of Iraq from Istanbul. Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek spoke both in Turkish and Kurdish in the ceremony held in Irbil International Airport.
Simsek said Turkey attached importance to development of the region, "all of us are brothers. We are sharing the same religion and border."

MUKHTAR OF CEOs
Coca Cola Company's Turkish CEO Muhtar Kent earned 19 million USD last year and was ranked the 19th in the list of CEOs who made the highest amount of money in the world. Viacom's CEO Philippe Dauman, who earned 84.5 million USD, tops the list.

CEYLAN WIND AT CANNES
Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan, who was presented with the Palm D'Or at 2008 Cannes Film Festival with his movie "Three Monkeys", will attend this year's festival as well. Ceylan's film "Once Upon a Time in Anatolia" will compete with the works of directors like Terrence Malick and Pedro Almodovar.

NEW BOSS OF CENTRAL BANK
Erdem Basci, one of the deputy head of the Turkish Central Bank, has been named the bank's news president after Durmus Yilmaz retired from the post. Basci's appointment was approved by Turkish President Abdullah Gul.
