Turkey's position to benefit Syrian people, says head of Syrian Muslim Brotherhood Sukfa

ISTANBUL (A.A) - The head of Syrian Muslim Brotherhood, Muhammad Riyad Sukfa, said Friday that the position taken by Turkey against the Syrian regime was "an ethical" one which would benefit the Syrian people. Speaking to the AA, Sukfa said that the Syrian people demanded the end of the Assad regime and wanted a democratic republic to replace the current regime in Syria. More than 100 civilians get killed in Syria daily. If a foreign intervention takes place in Syria, the Syrian administration would be responsible for the intervention, Sukfa indicated. The Syrian National Council and the opposition strongly support the Free Syrian Army, Sukfa underlined. We want the whole opposition to be a part of the Syrian National Council, Sukfa noted. Those countries which attended the meeting of "Friends of Syria" in Tunisia must recall their ambassadors in Damascus and send back Syrian ambassadors to Damascus, Sukfa stressed. Touching on the terrorist organization PKK, Sukfa said that they had reliable information that the Syrian regime armed PKK terrorists. (Reporting by Basir Haffar and Mustafa Yildiz)
