Turki Al-Faisal: Iran has never been pacifist

Manama, Dec. 10 (BNA): Chairman of the King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic Studies, Prince Turki Al-Faisal, said that Iran has never proved that it is a pacifist country that seeks cooperation.
This is proved by Iran’s increasing interference in the internal affairs of the countries of the region, and the hostile statements of its leaders in which they said that their country controls four Arab capitals and has 200,000 soldiers in the Arab world and that Baghdad is the historical capital of the Persian State.
Speaking at the Manama Dialogue, which kicked off here last night, Prince Al-Faisal said the nuclear deal with Iran should not be changed in the current phase for the interests of all parties because it prevents Iran from getting nuclear weapons for 15 years, stressing that countries of the regions should take the necessary measures and procedures for the post deal period.
He added that Iran’s ambitions have no limits, explaining that it is seeking to ensure that the world is under the control of the absent Iman.
Al-Faisal expressed hope that the US President-elect Donald Trump should use the nuclear deal with Iran as a first step to implement the recommendations of the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons conference which pledged to make the Middle East a nuclear-free region.
What is needed is a reconciled region including Iran and Turkey, noting that peoples of region share geography and religion despite sectarian differences, he said.
On Syria, Al-Faisal said that this country has been invaded by the Iranian militias and Revolutionary Guard forces, which resulted in killing about half a million citizens over the past five years and the displacement of over six million others.
He said that the Iran-backed militias should stop destroying Iraq.
