TURKISH DEFENSE CONTRACTOR SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH U.S. FIRM IN UAE MISSILE DEFENSE PROJECT
ISTANBUL (A.A) - 20.10.2010 - Turkish defense contractor Aselsan Corp. has signed a subcontractor agreement with U.S. Raytheon in a project to set up a defensive missile system for the United Arab Emirates, Aselsan said in a regulatory filing on Wednesday.
Aselsan said the 12 million USD agreement covered the manufacturing, integration and the testing of a main component of the missile system.
The maiden delivery of the components to Raytheon are scheduled for May 2011 as the project is expected to be completed in December of 2011, Aselsan said.
