Turkish gastronomy book presented to BACA president

Manama, June 29 (BNA): Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received Turkey's Ambassador to Bahrain Esin Chakil who presented her a copy of the gastronomy book 'Turkish Cuisine With Timeless Recipes'.
Turkey's First lady Emine Erdogan oversaw the book prepared by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and supported by the Turkish Tourism and Promotion Development Agency.
The book promotes the cuisine of Turkey with particular attention paid to the healthy and waste-free characteristics of Turkish cooking.
It aims to be a record of original recipes of a rich, centuries-old cuisine, an opportunity to pass them on to future generations and become a new bridge in the field of cultural diplomacy.
Shaikha Mai thanked the ambassador for the book saying that it reflected the richness of the Turkish culture well present in Arab lives.
She stressed the close and deep-rooted ties between Bahrain and Turkey and pointed to several cultural topics that would reinforce cultural exchanges between the two countries.
The ambassador expressed her keen interest in bolstering relations and expanding the scope of opportunities for closer cooperation.
