Turkish Movies Week begins in Shanghai

SHANGHAI (A.A) - 26.05.2011 - Gala night of Turkish Movies Week was held in Shanghai city of China on Wednesday.
We hope this event would open new horizons in Turkish and Chinese film industries, said Turkish Consul General in Shanghai Deniz Eke who spoke before the movie "Five Minarets in New York" (New York'ta Bes Minare) was displayed.
Noting that Turkey and China could make joint projects in film industry, Eke said that Turkish Consulate General could extend every type of support to such cooperation.
First part of Turkish Movies Week event took place in Beijing on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and China. The second part will begin in Shanghai as of June 1.
Turkish movies "Honey" (Bal), "Hunting Season" (Av Mevsimi), "Cosmos" (Kosmos), "Brought By the Sea" (Denizden Gelen), "Romantic Comedy" (Romantik Komedi), "Ataturk-Farewell" (Ataturk-Veda) and "Five Minarets in New York" will be displayed in two cinemas in Shanghai between June 1 and 5.
