Turkish police project receives international human rights award


KAHRAMANMARAS (A.A) - August 6, 2011 - A youth project of Kahramanmaras Police Department received an international human rights award.
Kahramanmaras Police Department sent its "Safe youth, safe future" project to "human rights" competition of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
"Our project has won this award, and we will receive the award in a reception on October 26," Kahramanmaras Police Chief Mustafa Aydin told AA correspondent.
Aydin said the aim of the project was to protect young people from attacks, propaganda and wrong behaviors. 
Washington-based International Association of Chiefs of Police was established in 1893, and has more than 20,000 members from 100 countries.
