Turkey's most popular singer Ibrahim Tatlises was in critical condition, his doctors said, after he was shot in the head by unidentified assailants late on Sunday. Tatlises was kept sedated at ICU at Istanbul's Acibadem Hospital. Istanbul governor said police forensic teams recovered at the scene of the attack eleven empty shells of bullets believed to be fired from an automatic rifle.

Saray and Ozalp towns of eastern province of Van were shaken by earthquakes on Monday evening. An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale shook Saray at 20.57 hours while another earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale shook Ozalp at 21.00 hours. There were no reports of casualties or damages due to the earthquakes.
