AND THE CHAIRMAN IS AT METRIS
Fenerbahce soccer club's chairman Aziz Yildirim, who has been going between security department, hospital and the courthouse since he was detained on July 3, was arrested. Yildirim's health condition went bad at the court two days ago, and he was taken to Sisli Etfal Hospital. When he recovered yesterday, his interrogation continued. Yildirim was arrested and sent to Metris prison.

THANKS TO ANKARA, WARNING TO ISTANBUL
Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Kemal Kilicdaroglu congratulated the prosecutors, who have been conducting Deniz Feneri e.V. investigation in Ankara, for complying with the rules of law. He also warned the prosecutors, who have been conducting the match-fixing investigation in Istanbul, as there is violation of privacy.

Fenerbahce football club's President Aziz Yildirim, who had been detained a week ago as part of a math-fixing investigation, was arrested yesterday. Fenerbahce fans who were shaken by the decision held protests on the streets. Yildirim, who had to travel between hospitals and the courthouse since the first day of his detention due to several health problems, was taken to a court on duty in the afternoon on Sunday. After an interrogation of 4 hours, Yildirim was arrested on charges of "setting up a criminal organization" and "match-fixing". He was later sent to Metris prison.

WHY DID YOU ERASE THOSE FILES?
It has been determined that hard disks of the computers seized during searches at Deniz Feneri e.V. facilities had been erased just a short time before the first operation conducted as part of the investigation on October 16, 2009. Prosecutors asked the suspects whether or not they had been informed about the operation. The judge, who examined the evidence in 139 files, has ruled for the arrest of former chairman of the Supreme Board of Radio and Television (RTUK) Zahid Akman, private TV channel Kanal 7's Executive Board Chairman Zekeriya Karaman, the channel's editor-in-chief Mustafa Celik, as well as board member Ismail Karahan.

Aziz Yildirim, whose interrogation had to be cut short 6 times due to his health problems, has been arrested and sent to prison. Fenerbahce President Yildirim's arrest was the final move in the match-fixing investigation that has recently shaken Turkey. Yildirim was sent to prison as he was convicted of "getting involved in match-fixing through a criminal organization".

Regarding the arrest of Fenerbahce soccer club's chairman Aziz Yildirim and the following incidents, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that club's supporters should act maturely about the issues which were submitted to jurisdiction.
Meanwhile, President Abdullah Gul said, "it is necessary to consider everybody innocent until the court makes a decision. Nobody can blame anybody now."

LAST MEETING BEFORE OATH-TAKING
Group deputy chairmen of the ruling Justice & Development (AK) Party and opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) will meet at Parliament at 10:00 a.m. today. Fenerbahce football club's President Aziz Yildirim was arrested and sent to prison yesterday, after days of interrogation as part of a match-fixing investigation. It was a "day of support" for Fenerbahce fans as they gathered at the facilities at Topuk Yaylasi in northwestern Duzce province where Fenerbahce players had been on a camp. Fans also held protests on Istanbul's Bagdat Street. Some fans clashed with the police while Yildirim was being taken to the Metris prison.

Prosecutors, who have solved the secret code of the financial records in Deniz Feneri case, urged the five suspects talk about the assets purchased with the aid money. The financial records revealed that suspects had bought immovables in Germany with the aid money, moreover, they had used the money in their businesses and even bought a ship named Atlas 1. During the interrogation that lasted for almost 50 hours, the suspects delivered contradictory statements and blamed Mehmet Gurhan who had been arrested as part of the investigation in Germany.

Following his visit to Egypt and Libya after general elections, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu paid visits to Saudi Arabia and Iran yesterday, and discussed the recent developments in the Middle East. After Libya summit which will take place in Istanbul on July 14 and 15, Davutoglu will pay visits to Jordan, Bahrain, Yemen and Damascus.

Fenerbahce President Aziz Yildirim, who travelled between the police station, courthouse and hospital after being detained in a match-fixing investigation, was arrested by a court on duty yesterday and sent to Metris prison. Four attorneys defended Yildirim during yesterday's trial, while his doctor also waited at the door of the hearing room. The trial had to be cut down three times as Yildirim's blood sugar level dropped. After an interrogation of five hours, Yildirim was arrested for "match-fixing by setting up a criminal organization".

OATH BOYCOTT MAY HOLD PARTIES CAPTIVE
During his formal visit to the Bulgarian capital of Sofia, Turkish President Abdullah Gul delivered important statements regarding Republican People's Party (CHP) and Peace & Democracy Party's (BDP) "oath-taking boycott" at the Parliament. "Things may get complicated and such attitude may take these political parties captive. Before it is too late, parliamentarians should take oath tomorrow (today) and fulfill their political responsibilities," Gul said.
