Two Americans who showed naked bottoms at temple arrested

BANGKOK, Nov 29 (TNA) – Immigration police apprehended two American men at Don Mueang airport as they earlier showed their naked bottoms for photos at the Temple of Dawn. Pol Col Cherngron Rimphadee, deputy spokesman of the Immigration Bureau, said that the Americans aged 38 were arrested at 8pm as their identities were posted on the bureau’s online watch list after the photos of their naked bottoms at the Buddhist temple became viral on social media on Nov 24. Such photos were taken at several locations in the temple including its main pagoda that was a place of worshipping for Thai people and a national treasure, he said. Both admitted they had taken the photos. They were later charged at the Bangkok Yai police station, he said. Pol Col Cherngron also said foreign tourists should respect cultural, historical and religious places in Thailand. (TNA)
