From Tylos to Bahrain exhibition to open at Louvre on Wednesday

Paris, Oct. 4 (BNA): Bahrain's rich civilizational and archaeological heritage will be highlighted at the Louvre Museum through "From to Tylos to Bahrain: An Archaeological Journey around the Kingdom of Bahrain".
The exhibition, set to open on October 5, is the result of a long-time collaboration between the Musée du Louvre and the Directorate of Archaeology and Museums of Bahrain under an agreement signed during the visit of HM King Hamad to Paris in 2019.
An exceptional loan of 70 Bahraini artefacts will be on display at the Musée du Louvre for a renewable period of five years.
Objects from the Dilmun and Tylos periods (2300 BC to 400 AD) will reveal the social practices and the cultural relations between the ancient inhabitants of Bahrain and the other civilizations around it as well as the major role played by the region in the development of Ancient Near Eastern civilizations.
The public will be much gratified to discover this once thriving crossroads of commerce and culture between diverse civilizations.
