UAV to be applied for Thailand's rainmaking operations

BANGKOK, September 19 (TNA) - Thailand's Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation Department eyes to develop an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to increase efficiency in its rainmaking operations. The department’s director-general, Lersak Riewtrakulpaibul, has signed an agreement with Chiefs of the Civil Aviation Training Center and the Agricultural Research Development Agency Public Organization on the joint development of an UAV for aerial observations in order to boost efficiency of the country's artificial rainmaking operations. Lersak said after the signing of the agreement, more details will be worked out for further cooperation. Lersak acknowledged that both competent personnel and accurate information are important for Thailand's artificial rainmaking mission. (TNA)
