UK to have naval support facility, not a military base

Manama, Nov. 2 (BNA): In response to the reports carried by some news agencies and media channels regarding the alleged construction of a UK military base in the Kingdom of Bahrain, an official source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain has affirmed that what is being constructed is not a military base but logistic support facilities for the British Navy under an agreement between the two friendly countries and in accordance with rules and arrangements that are different from those governing the construction of military bases.
