UoB President receives French Ambassador

Manama, Dec. 11 (BNA): President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, received here today the French Ambassador to Bahrain, Jérôme Cauchard, with whom she discussed ways of enhancing linguistic cooperation. Dr. Al-Mudhahki stressed the importance of developing students' languistic skills and enhancing their ability to communicate in various languages, highlighting the efforts of the French Studies Centre at UoB in spreading the francophone culture and providing a fertile environment for learning for lovers of the French language, to widen the horizons of thought, awareness, culture, and communication skills among different cultures. Ambassador Cauchard the French Embassy's endeavours to enhance cultural exchange, as well as strengthen scientific and linguistic cooperation with various scientific institutions, in addition to strengthening relations between the two countries, and spreading awareness of the importance of French literature, language and culture.
