U.S. scientists want to work with us, says Deputy Minister of Science, Industry and Technology

WASHINGTON (A.A) - March 4, 2012 - Turkish Deputy Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Davut Kavranoglu said that "as part of our program in Washington, we held beneficial meetings with U.S. scientists and intellectuals". Speaking to the AA prior to attending the Fifth Annual Conference of the Turkish American Scientists and Scholars Association (TASSA), Kavranoglu said that U.S. scientists expressed a desire "to work with us". We noticed that U.S. scientists wanted to work with us and assist us. They were very open minded about sharing their experiences with us, Kavranoglu noted. We were pleased to see such a cooperation in the U.S., Kavranoglu underlined. For the first time in the history of the Republic of Turkey, we initiated the science-technology diplomacy. We now look at the Turkish scientists in all corners of the world as members of the same team, Kavranoglu added.
