Vietnam Calls For Full Expansion Of Ties With Iran

Kuala Lumpur, May 29, IRNA – Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang said his country is ready to expand its long-standing ties with Iran in all possible areas. He made the remarks when receiving the credentials of the new Iranian ambassador to Hanoi Hossein Alvandi. He noted that both Iran and Vietnam focus on safeguarding their independence while working to make developments in their countries. The Vietnamese President also said that Hanoi is after continuing its friendly and close relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Alvandi, for his part, voiced Iran’s readiness for developing and promoting ties with Vietnam in political, economic and cultural areas and pointed to many capacities existing for mutual cooperation./end
