Vietnamese fishing crews arrested in Thai waters

NAKHON SI THAMMARAT, Jan 12 (TNA) - Thirty Vietnamese fishing crewmen were arrested for encroaching Thai waters and illegally operating fishing off the southern province of Nakhon Si Thammarat. Four Vietnamese trawlers were seized while they were floating about 90 kms off Khanom district. All crew members were detained for questioning by the police through translators. All were charged with illegally fishing in Thai waters and will be handed over to the Immigration Bureau for deportation. (TNA)
