Vietnamese House Speaker Visits Thailand from Dec 3-5

BANGKOK, December 3 (TNA) - Vietnam's National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung has now taken a step forward to help strengthen bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand, as he is paying a three-day official visit to the Kingdom from December 3-5. Upon his arrival in Bangkok Monday morning, Nguyen was welcome by Thai Parliament President and House Speaker Somsak Kiatsuranont and parliamentary officials. The visiting Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman and his entourage then paid homage to Thailand's King Rama VII Monument in front of the Thai Parliament building and had a discussion with the Thai Parliament President, who will later host a dinner reception for them at the Plaza Athenee Hotel in the Thai capital. During his visit to Thailand, the Vietnamese top parliamentarian and his entourage are also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and to travel to the northeastern Udon Thani province on December 4, where he will visit the Ho Chi Minh Heritage Centre and meet with the local Vietnamese community.
